Ingredients

  • 2 duck breasts
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of blueberries
  • 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves

Directions

  1. Pat the duck breasts dry with a paper towel, then season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil to the skillet and let it heat up for a few seconds.
  3. Add the duck breasts to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through. Remove the duck breasts from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, balsamic vinegar, honey and ground cloves. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the sauce has reduced and thickened.
  5. Slice the cooked duck breasts and serve them with the blueberry sauce.
