Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Directions
- In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Add the warm water and oil and mix until the dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5 minutes on a lightly floured surface.
- Form the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Once the dough has doubled in size, punch it down and roll it out onto a floured surface.
- Cut the dough into 12 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball. Place the balls onto a greased baking sheet.
- In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon and a few tablespoons of water to make a paste. Brush the paste onto the balls of dough and let them rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the bread rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove the bread rolls from the oven and let them cool before serving.
