Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Add the warm water and oil and mix until the dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough for 5 minutes on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Form the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Once the dough has doubled in size, punch it down and roll it out onto a floured surface.
  5. Cut the dough into 12 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball. Place the balls onto a greased baking sheet.
  6. In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon and a few tablespoons of water to make a paste. Brush the paste onto the balls of dough and let them rise for 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the bread rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
