Ingredients
6 slices of white bread (e.g. Texas toast)
4 eggs
3/4 cup of milk
3 tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
4 tablespoons of butter
Directions
Cut the bread slices into cubes and place into a greased 8x8 inch baking dish.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
Pour the mixture over the bread cubes and gently press down to ensure the entire dish is submerged in the custard.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and refrigerate overnight.
The next morning, preheat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter.
Once the butter has melted, add the French toast cubes to the skillet and cook until golden brown.
Serve warm with maple syrup and enjoy!
