Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2-3 tablespoons milk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Add flour, 1/2 cup of flaked coconut, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt, and stir until combined.
- Press the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes.
- Mix together the remaining 1/2 cup of flaked coconut, confectioners' sugar, and enough milk to make a thick glaze. Spread over the hot bars.
- Bake for an additional 10 minutes. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
