- 1 pound ground beef

Directions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until it is no longer pink. Drain off the fat.
- Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, sugar, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 30 minutes.
