Ingredients
- 2 lb. pork shoulder, cut into cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup lime juice
Directions
- Place the pork cubes in a pressure cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture onto the pork cubes.
- Add the chicken broth, orange juice, and lime juice to the pressure cooker.
- Secure the lid and set the pressure cooker to high pressure for 25 minutes.
- Once the cooking time is up, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes.
- Carefully open the lid and shred the pork with two forks.
- If desired, broil the pork in the oven for a few minutes to crisp up the edges.
- Serve the carnitas with your favorite taco toppings.
