Ingredients
- 2 large sweet potatoes
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Scrub sweet potatoes under running water. Prick each potato several times with a fork.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until they are soft.
- Remove potatoes from oven and let cool.
- Once cooled, cut potatoes into 1/2 inch thick slices.
- Arrange potato slices in a single layer on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Brush each slice with melted butter.
- Combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and allspice in a small bowl. Sprinkle mixture over potato slices.
- Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
