Ingredients
- 1 pound white fish fillets, such as tilapia or cod
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (from 2-3 limes)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 6-8 small flour or corn tortillas
- Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, diced red onions, diced avocados, sour cream, and/or salsa
Directions
- In a medium bowl, combine the chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir in the lime juice and vegetable oil.
- Add the fish fillets to the bowl and mix until they are evenly coated in the marinade. Let the fish sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the fish fillets and cook for 5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
- While the fish is cooking, warm the tortillas in the skillet for 1 minute on each side.
- To assemble the tacos, place a piece of fish in each tortilla and top with your desired toppings.
- Serve immediately.
