Ingredients
- 1 cup of white sesame seeds
- 3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
- 2 dried red chillies, broken into small pieces
- 3 tablespoons of oil
- Salt to taste
Directions
- Dry roast the sesame seeds on low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Once the sesame seeds are lightly browned, transfer them to a bowl and let them cool.
- In a blender, add the cooled sesame seeds, garlic, cumin powder and red chillies. Blend until the mixture is a coarse powder.
- Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the sesame seed powder and fry for a few minutes until the raw smell is gone.
- Add salt to taste and turn off the heat.
- Transfer to a bowl and let it cool before serving.
