Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
  7. Serve with your favorite chili toppings!
