Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 cups mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup hazelnuts, toasted and chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
Directions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and have released their liquid, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in hazelnuts, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper and cook for 1 minute.
- Add wine and lemon juice and cook until liquid is nearly evaporated, about 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in butter and cream cheese until combined.
- Transfer to a food processor and process until smooth and creamy.
- Serve with crackers or toast points.
