Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 cups mushrooms, finely chopped
1/4 cup hazelnuts, toasted and chopped
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup white wine
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
Directions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and have released their liquid, about 5 minutes.
Stir in hazelnuts, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper and cook for 1 minute.
Add wine and lemon juice and cook until liquid is nearly evaporated, about 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in butter and cream cheese until combined.
Transfer to a food processor and process until smooth and creamy.
Serve with crackers or toast points.
