Ingredients

  • 1 pound black cod fillets
  • 2 tablespoons white miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mirin
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Green onions, for garnish

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the miso paste, honey, soy sauce, and mirin. Set aside.
  3. Heat the oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the black cod fillets and cook for 2 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  4. Brush the miso paste mixture over the top of the fillets. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 12 minutes, until the fish is cooked through.
  5. Serve the black cod with green onions and steamed rice.
