Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups firmly packed light brown sugar
- ½ cup light corn syrup
- 2/3 cup heavy cream
- 4 tablespoons (½ stick) butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the brown sugar, corn syrup, cream, and butter. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla and pecans. Drop the mixture by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper.
- Let the pralines cool and harden before serving.
