Ingredients

  • 1 lb lump crab meat
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, bread crumbs, eggs, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix together until all ingredients are blended.
  2. Form the mixture into 8 crab cakes and lightly press together. Place the crab cakes on a plate or baking sheet and set aside.
  3. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the crab cakes and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Transfer the cooked crab cakes to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  4. Serve the Maryland Crab Cakes with tartar sauce or your favorite condiments.
