Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1/4 cup minced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the pork, mushrooms, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, ginger, white pepper, and salt. Mix until everything is evenly distributed.
- Lay out the wonton wrappers on a work surface. Place a heaping teaspoon of the pork filling in the center of each wrapper. Use your finger to moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water.
- Fold the wrapper in half, pressing the edges together to seal. Place the wontons on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the wontons in batches and fry until golden brown, about 1 to 2 minutes per side. Remove the wontons from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Serve the wontons hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
