Ingredients
- 1 cup of butter, softened
- 1 ½ cups of firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup of chopped walnuts
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease one 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Stir in the mashed bananas.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir the flour mixture into the banana mixture.
- Stir in the chopped walnuts.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pan comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
