- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon blackstrap molasses
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons licorice extract
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the corn syrup, sugars, butter, condensed milk, molasses, and vanilla.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches 250 degrees F on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat and stir in the licorice extract.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9-inch square baking pan.
- Let cool for at least an hour before cutting into 1-inch squares.
- Wrap each square in wax paper.
