Ingredients

  • 1 pound of spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 pound of asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/3 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Add the asparagus and sauté for 3 minutes.
  6. Add the lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet.
  8. Toss to combine and cook for 1 minute.
  9. Divide the pasta among 4 plates and top with Parmesan cheese.
