Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup kimchi, chopped
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup carrots, shredded
  • 1/4 cup red pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, for frying

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the kimchi, onion, green onion, carrots, red pepper, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour and water to make a thick batter.
  3. Add the kimchi mixture to the batter and mix until everything is evenly combined.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Once the oil is hot, drop the kimchi mixture into the skillet in 2-3 inch round patties.
  6. Fry the patties for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove the patties from the skillet and let cool before serving.
