- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a food processor, pulse chicken until it reaches a ground consistency.
- In a large bowl, mix together chicken, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Press the chicken mixture into a greased 9-inch round baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes until lightly golden.
- Remove the crust from the oven and spread on the tomato sauce. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top. Bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve.
