Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In a food processor, pulse chicken until it reaches a ground consistency.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together chicken, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Press the chicken mixture into a greased 9-inch round baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. Remove the crust from the oven and spread on the tomato sauce. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top. Bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil and serve.
