- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients and mix until combined.
- Stir in oatmeal and caramel bits until evenly distributed.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoon onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown. Allow to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
