Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (7 oz) tuna in water, drained
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 pound penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add the tuna, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, white wine, and heavy cream. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package instructions.
  6. Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet. Toss to combine.
  7. Serve the pasta with the chopped parsley sprinkled on top.
