Ingredients

  • 4-6 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 (3-ounce) package liquid pectin

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the jalapeno peppers, sugar, vinegar, cayenne pepper, black pepper, ginger, and cloves. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
  2. Reduce heat to low, and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the pectin, and return to a boil. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat, and ladle the jelly into hot sterilized jars.
  5. Seal and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
