Ingredients

  • 1 pound broccoli rabe, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat.
  2. Add the broccoli rabe and cook for 2-3 minutes, until just tender.
  3. Drain the broccoli rabe and set aside.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently.
  6. Add the cooked broccoli rabe to the skillet and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice.
  9. Serve warm.
