Ingredients
- 2 pounds frozen stew meat
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
Directions
- Set the Instant Pot to the sauté setting.
- Add the stew meat and onion and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper and stir to combine.
- Secure the lid onto the Instant Pot and make sure the valve is set to sealing.
- Set the Instant Pot to manual high pressure for 30 minutes.
- When the cooking time is done, do a quick release by carefully turning the valve to the venting position. Be sure to avoid the steam.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and cold water until combined.
- Add the cornstarch mixture to the Instant Pot and stir to combine.
- Set the Instant Pot to sauté and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve the stew warm with your favorite sides.
