Ingredients
- 1 package of bratwurst (about 6 sausages)
- 1 bottle of light beer
- 1/2 cup of honey
- 1/4 cup of dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup of yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon of dried basil
- Salt, to taste
Directions
- In a large pot, bring the beer to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and add the bratwursts. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk together the honey, dijon mustard, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, thyme, oregano, and basil until evenly combined.
- Remove the bratwursts from the pot and place them in a bowl. Add the honey mustard sauce and mix until evenly coated.
- Return the bratwursts to the pot and simmer for an additional 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve the bratwursts warm with your favorite sides.
