Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of fresh spinach leaves
  • 200g paneer cheese, cubed
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2-3 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp cream

Directions

  1. Wash the spinach leaves and blanch them in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and blend to a smooth puree.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, onions, ginger, and garlic. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
  3. Add pureed tomatoes, green chilies, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates.
  4. Add the spinach puree and cook for 5-7 minutes. Add water if needed.
  5. Add the paneer cubes, garam masala, and cream. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with rice or naan.
