Ingredients

  • 1 quart (1 liter) of whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons of active culture yogurt
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) of Greek yogurt for thickening
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.5 g) of salt

Directions

  1. Pour the milk into the slow cooker and turn it on low.
  2. Add the active culture yogurt and stir to combine.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and let it cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
  4. Stir in the Greek yogurt and salt.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and let it cook for another 2 to 4 hours.
  6. Turn off the slow cooker and let the yogurt cool to room temperature.
  7. Transfer the yogurt to a container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
