Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a blender, add the flax seeds and water. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes to allow the flax seeds to soften.
  2. Blend the mixture on high speed for 2-3 minutes or until the liquid becomes smooth and creamy. Make sure the flax seeds are fully blended.
  3. Place a nut milk bag or cheesecloth over a large bowl or pitcher. Pour the blended mixture into the bag or cloth, allowing the milk to strain through while capturing the remaining pulp.
  4. Gently squeeze and twist the bag or cheesecloth to separate the milk from the pulp. Continue until all the milk has been extracted.
  5. If desired, add sweetener of choice, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the milk. Stir well to combine.
  6. Transfer the flax seed milk to a sealed container or bottle. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
