Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 2 jalapenos, diced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 1/4 cup honey mustard
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, green pepper, jalapenos, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed. Form into 6 patties.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add patties to skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted.
  3. Meanwhile, toast buns in a toaster or toaster oven. Spread honey mustard on the inside of each bun. Place patties on the buns, top with desired condiments, and serve.
