Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yoghurt
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
- 4 hamburger buns
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, red onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, chili powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well with your hands or a spoon until all of the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties and set aside.
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grease the grill with oil and add the patties. Cook for 6-8 minutes, flipping once, until the burgers are cooked through.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the yoghurt, lemon juice, and mint. Stir until combined.
- To assemble the burgers, spread the yoghurt sauce on the buns and top with the cooked burgers. Serve immediately.
