These grilled lemongrass ground beef skewers are bursting with flavor and make for a perfect appetizer or main course. The ground beef is marinated in a fragrant lemongrass marinade, then skewered and grilled to perfection. Serve them with a side of peanut dipping sauce for a truly delicious meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 stalks lemongrass, white part only, finely minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced lemongrass, minced garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, vegetable oil, cornstarch, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
  2. Cover the bowl and let the mixture marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated ground beef mixture onto the soaked bamboo skewers, pressing it firmly onto the skewers to form an even layer.
  5. Grill the skewers for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the beef is cooked through and nicely charred on the outside.
  6. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Serve the lemongrass ground beef skewers with a side of peanut dipping sauce.
  8. Enjoy!
