This recipe combines the tanginess of lemon, the creaminess of tahini, and the richness of yogurt to create a flavorful marinade for grilled chicken. The sauce is easy to make and adds a burst of flavor to the chicken, making it a perfect dish for a summer barbecue or a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the yogurt, tahini, lemon juice and zest, garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the chicken. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
  4. Grill the chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
  5. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy with your favorite sides!
