Ingredients

  • 2 cans (15 oz) of hickory-flavored baked beans
  • 1/2 cup of diced bacon
  • 1/2 cup of diced onion
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp of hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup of ketchup
  • 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce
  • 1 tsp of smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.
  2. Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the brown sugar, hot sauce, ketchup, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add the hickory-flavored baked beans and cooked bacon to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
