Ingredients
- 1 lb ground bison
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 6 slices bacon
- 6 slices cheese
- 6 hamburger buns
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground bison, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried basil. Mix the ingredients together until well-combined.
- Form the mixture into 6 equal-sized patties.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grease the grill with a bit of oil or cooking spray.
- Place the patties on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the burgers are cooked through.
- Add the bacon to the grill and cook until crispy, about 4 minutes per side.
- Place a slice of cheese on each patty and cook until melted, about 1 minute.
- Toast the buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown.
- To assemble the burgers, place a patty on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a slice of bacon and the top bun. Serve immediately.
