Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups frozen peas

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Whisk in chicken broth, then add peas, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
