Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, sour cream, oil, water and vanilla. Beat on low speed for 30 seconds, then on medium for 2 minutes. Stir in the chips, nuts, melted butter and brown sugar. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
