Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/3 cup apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the green beans and sauté for about 5 minutes, stirring often.
  2. Add the cider, sugar, salt and pepper to the pan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat and serve warm.
