Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup warm water
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8 inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Pour in the oil, vinegar, vanilla, and warm water. Beat until batter is smooth.
- Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.
