Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1/4 cup water
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the cornmeal and mix until well combined.
- Add in the olive oil, white wine, and water and stir until the ingredients are evenly distributed and the dough is soft and slightly sticky.
- On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for about 5 minutes.
- Form the dough into a round loaf and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before slicing and serving.
