Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup grated onion
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups beef broth
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix together the beef, bread crumbs, milk, onion, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and set aside.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and brown on all sides, about 8 minutes.
- Sprinkle the flour over the meatballs and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the beef broth and stir to combine. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Serve over mashed potatoes or egg noodles, with a side of lingonberries.
