- 3 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 flank steak (1 to 1 1/2 pounds)
Directions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if desired).
- Place the flank steak in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Flip the steak to coat both sides with the marinade.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
- When ready to cook, preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the steak for about 8 minutes per side, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F for medium-rare.
- Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
