2 cups of your favorite fruit (apples, pears, berries, etc.)
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of butter, melted
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the fruit, sugar, butter, and cinnamon.
Mix until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
Pour the mixture into a greased 8-inch baking dish.
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour and melted butter until crumbly.
Sprinkle the flour mixture on top of the fruit mixture.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Interesting Facts
Fruit bakes are a great way to use up any overripe fruit you might have in the house.
Adding a handful of chopped nuts to the topping will give your fruit bake a crunchy texture.
You can also add a tablespoon of your favorite liqueur to the fruit filling for a boozy twist.
