4 large eggs
1/4 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg

8 slices of thick-cut white bread
Butter, for greasing the skillet
Optional: Powdered sugar and/or syrup, for serving
Directions
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until combined.
Cut each of the slices of bread into four sticks.
Dip the sticks of bread into the egg mixture, turning to coat both sides.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a pat of butter. Once the butter has melted, add the sticks of bread to the skillet.
Cook the sticks for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve the French Toast Sticks warm with a dusting of powdered sugar, and/or a drizzle of syrup.
