Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add the warm water and mix until the dough comes together.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Form the dough into a ball and place in a greased bowl, turning to coat the surface.
- Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/4 inch (6 mm) thickness.
- Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough into 12 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Brush each roll with melted butter and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
