Ingredients
1/2 cup (115 g) butter, melted
1/2 cup (110 g) sugar
1/2 cup (60 g) all-purpose flour
1/4 cup (50 g) honey
1/2 cup (50 g) sliced almonds
1/2 cup (50 g) chopped walnuts
1/4 cup (30 g) chopped dried apricots
1/4 cup (30 g) chopped dried cranberries
1/4 cup (30 g) chopped dried cherries
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Add flour and mix until well combined.
Add honey and mix until well combined.
Stir in almonds, walnuts, apricots, cranberries and cherries until evenly distributed.
Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches (5 cm) apart.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool completely before removing from the baking sheets.

Florentines are believed to have originated in Florence, Italy in the 16th century.
The cookies are traditionally made from almonds, but other nuts such as walnuts and hazelnuts can also be used.
Florentines can be decorated with melted chocolate or drizzled with icing sugar.
