Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix together until combined.
  3. Using your hands, form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
  5. Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally, and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the cooked meatballs. Gently stir to coat the meatballs in the BBQ glaze.
