Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix together until combined.
- Using your hands, form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
- Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally, and cook for 5 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and add the cooked meatballs. Gently stir to coat the meatballs in the BBQ glaze.
- Serve the meatballs warm.
