Ingredients
- 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup milk
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- Peel and cut the potatoes into 1-inch cubes.
- Place the potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
- Drain the potatoes and place them back in the saucepan. Add the butter and mash the potatoes with a potato masher or fork until they are smooth.
- Slowly add the milk, stirring constantly, until the potatoes are light and fluffy. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Serve warm.
