Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and stir until blended.
- In a separate bowl, combine cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until combined.
- Stir in the pecans and chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool before cutting and serving.
