Ingredients

  • 1 cup roasted squash
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground thyme
  • 1/4 tsp ground sage
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions

  1. Preheat a waffle iron to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, sage, nutmeg, pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, and milk until smooth.
  4. Add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Add the roasted squash and mix until just combined.
  6. Grease the waffle iron and spoon the waffle batter into the iron, spreading it evenly. Close the lid and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the waffles are cooked through.
